Staff

We operate with a small office team supported by a dedicated team of volunteers across several committees committed to improving education and debate in medical ethics.

History

Partners

We co-own three journals with BMJ Group, the Journal of Medical Ethics, JME Practical Bioethics and Medical Humanities. IME members receive copies of the Journal of Medical Ethics and Medical Humanities as part of their membership benefits which works out significantly cheaper than subscribing directly to the journals.

Trustee Board

The Trustee Board is responsible for the strategic direction and vision of the IME alongside ensuring the charity meets its legal responsibilities. The Board is made up of elected Trustees, the President and Vice-Presidents plus representatives from the Postgraduate Student Council and Student Council.

Committees

The IME has 6 key committees, in addition to the Trustee Board. The committees are made up of volunteers derived from the IME membership and they are responsible for specific areas of activity.
