This seminar, A global profession needs a global ethos – The World Medical Association’s Revised International Code of Medical Ethics provides one featured three speakers

  • Raanan Gillon is Emeritus Professor of Medical Ethics at the Imperial College London. He served as a member of the ICoME revision workgroup. He is the Honorary President of the Institute of Medical Ethics and an elected member of the British Medical Association (BMA) Council.
  • Urban Wiesing is Director of the Institute of Ethics and the History of Medicine at the University of Tübingen, Germany. He serves as WMA ethics advisor and served as a member of the ICoME revision workgroup.
  • Ramin W. Parsa-Parsi is Head of the German Medical Association’s Department for International Affairs. He has served as a council member of the World Medical Association (WMA), as a member of the WMA Medical Ethics Committee and as chair of the International Code of Medical Ethics (ICoME) revision workgroup.
