‘Being Black and Brown in Bioethics’
Study Interviews
This information is being sent to ask if you would like to take part in the in the ‘Being Black in Brown in Bioethics (BBBB)’ research study that is being conducted by researchers at the University of Bristol in collaboration with researchers at the University of Oxford. The study is funded by the Institute of Medical Ethics. The study is being conducted as part of a wider project, ‘Black and Brown in Bioethics’, which aims to work towards equity for people of colour within the UK bioethics community.
We are conducting interviews, in which current and former postgraduate researchers (PGRs) working in bioethics in the UK that identify as being from minoritised ethnic backgrounds are invited to participate. This study aims to learn about the experiences of PGRs from minoritised ethnic backgrounds working in bioethics in the UK and identify strategies to address racial inequity. Gathering information about PGRs’ experiences through these interviews is an important step towards learning how we can improve research culture within UK bioethics and ensure that the future of UK bioethics is diverse and inclusive. Participants will receive a £30 voucher as thanks for their time.
