Hi! My name is Dan. I’m a final-year graduate medic and Chair of the Student Council, having previously served on the conference committee. My interest in medical ethics stems from work on ethical healthcare research for individuals in the criminal justice system. I’m looking forward to working with our excellent sub-committees to promote medical ethics for undergraduates.

Hi, I’m Zeinab, a final-year medical student at the University of Birmingham. I’m continuing as Senior Conference Lead. The first book that drew me to medicine and ethics was L’An V de la Révolution Algérienne by Frantz Fanon, which reshaped the way I think about power and its role in healthcare.

I'm really interested in capacity and consent, and I’m currently looking at assent and consent for clinical trials in the paediatric rare disease population as part of my intercalated MPhil. Hi, I’m Isabella, a Senior Education Lead and a 5th year medical student at UCL.

My passion for medical ethics blossomed during my intercalation in the History and Philosophy of Science and Medicine, which sparked a particular interest in political philosophy and non-Western approaches to ethics.

I’m really excited for the year ahead and looking forward to working with everyone!

Hello, I’m Lareb and I am excited to be joining the Education committee this year. I have quite a diverse set of ethical interests: from philosophical debate in neuroethics to political influences on ethical decision-making. I greatly value interdisciplinary study, so I am proud to be part of a team that creates spaces for students to immerse themselves in the humanities and social sciences.

Hi everyone, I’m Ahmed, and I’m a graduate medical student at Ulster University. I’m really looking forward to getting to know you all and working together as part of the Research and Publishing team. I’m particularly interested in the rapidly changing landscape of medicine and how this evolving world intersects with medical ethics, whether that involves the rise of AI in healthcare, new government policies, or the shifting expectations of modern clinical practice.
