Student Council 2023-24
The IME Student Council was formed in September 2014
It acts as a student “think tank”, feeding ideas to the IME Board of Trustees on medical school ethics curricula, IME student membership, and student activities. The future has much in store for this wing of the organisation, with its members excited about improving ethical awareness in their respective medical schools and growing as a group.

There is so much that medical students and allied healthcare professionals can learn about and debate with regards to medical ethics. However, despite its significance, it tends to make up only a small part of teaching curricula. I look forward to working with the IME team to bring you a series of enriching educational events and stimulating discussions!
Magda Sime

I’m excited to be in the committee this year, working with the most amazing team, debating and learning from others, engaging with medical ethics issues, and most importantly by organising a fantastic conference this year!
