The Institute of Medical Ethics is a company limited by guarantee, registered in England and Wales no 985158 and a registered charity no 261876.
Its registered office is Suite 13, Bold Business Park, Bold Lane, St Helens, WA9 4TX, UK.
All information on this website is published in support of the Institute’s charitable objectives concerned with education and debate in the field of medical ethics.
Unless otherwise stated, all statements on ethical issues are offered for the purposes of critical discussion, and do not necessarily represent the views of the Institute or its trustees.

Conference/Meeting Bookings
All payments are due prior to the commencement of the meeting. Delegates who have not paid will not be admitted to the meeting until outstanding balances have been settled. Credit/Debit card payments are accepted via the on-line registration system. BACS transfers are accepted by prior arrangement with the IME Office. Cheques should be made payable to Institute of Medical Ethics.
Tickets
Physical tickets are not distributed for meetings. The confirmation email that will be sent upon successfully booking your place at the meeting will act as your ticket. The email will be sent within 24 hours of the bookiing being completed. Should this not be received please contact the IME office using the details below.
Insurance
The organisers cannot accept any liability for personal injuries or damage to property belonging to delegates, either during, or as a result of the meeting. You are advised to check the validity of your own personal insurance. The IME reserves the right to cancel the meeting, in such circumstances only registration fees will be reimbursed. All aspects of the programme are subject to change and the organisers cannot assume liability for any changes to the programme due to external or unforseen circumstances.
Cancellations
All cancellations must be notified in writing to the IME Office – by post, or email and must be acknowledged by the office as having been received.
Cancellations received more than 30 days prior to the meeting will not be liable to pay outstanding fees.
Cancellations recieved 30 days – 7 Days prior to the meeting will be liable to pay 50% of the total fee.
Cancellations received 7 days or less prior to the start of the meeting will be liable for 100% of the total fee.
Amendments to Registrations
All amendments must be notified in writing to the IME Office – by post or email and must be acknowledged by the office as having been received.
