Conference: Enhancement: Cognitive, Moral and Mood; Part II
The Center for the Study of Bioethics
Oxford University`s Wellcome Centre for Ethics and Humanities
are jointly organizing the international conference “Enhancement: Cognitive, Moral and Mood; Part II“ online on 1-2 March 2021.
Initially the event has been planned to take place at the Center for the Study of Bioethics in Belgrade, Serbia, at the end of April, 2020. In light of all the circumstances related to the pandemic, we have decided to hold the conference online.
You will be able to present your papers and have discussions, but on an online platform.
The positive side of this is that it is likely that, in addition to the already announced key speakers, we will have additional ones who also are the most reputed bioethicists in the world.
In May 2013, the Center for the Study of Bioethics and the Oxford Centre for Neuroethics jointly organized the conference “Enhancement: Cognitive, Moral and Mood.”
The 2021 conference will largely be a follow-up of the 2013 event. It will be a 2 day gathering, with CSB and Oxford University`s WCEH as partners in the event. The conference theme will be the state of enhancement in 2021. Part of the conference`s focus will also be on what has changed in the enhancement debate relative to 2013: March 2021 as compared to May 2013.
